Exploring your countertransference

Date: Beginning Mondays March 19, 2018

Time: 12:15pm-2:00pm

Location: 316 W. Boone, STE 656, Spokane, WA 99201

Gestalt Therapy is based on the “I-thou” relationship implying an authentic closeness between two human beings with a respect for appropriate boundaries. In Gestalt Therapy, the therapist attends to his or her own presence and as the therapist experiences their own thoughts, feelings & sensations an authentic connection can occur with a client. Gain a language of Gestalt Therapy terminology while expanding interventions and take part in an opportunity to explore your own experiences and countertransference that occur with your clients, increase self-awareness that you can apply to your work allowing for a deeper therapeutic experience from which authentic significant change can occur. Supervision hours for mental health counselors and social workers can be applied.
