Dedicated to your health and wellness.

Jennifer Backlund, MA, LMHC
“It is in relationship that we experience healing and change. My goal is to be present with you in a way that helps you to experience feeling heard, safe and known as we journey together in the work that you have decided to do. My present focus is working with adults struggling with anxiety and depression, trauma, ADD/ADHD, relational and parenting issues, and grief or loss.
My approach to treatment includes attachment theory and practice, developmental object relations therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy. I am also a registered Circle of Security parent educator”
Jennifer obtained her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Gonzaga University. Her experience as a therapist began in a sexual assault and family trauma unit for 5 years where she worked with children and families to address sexual and other physical trauma and attachment and bonding issues. Following this, and after spending time as a full-time parent, Jennifer opened a private practice. During her cumulative 15 years of experience, she has attended numerous trainings: workshops, conferences, study-groups and private and group consultations.
