About Yvonne:

As a therapist, I believe people have a core longing to be seen, known, and understood. It is a daily goal that each person I meet experiences warmth, acceptance, and safety in the therapeutic relationship, no matter life's choices or circumstances.

I believe that it is often relationships that have brought about injury, impacting current distressful experiences. Healing, learning, and growing in how we relate to ourselves and others can help set us free to live the quality of life we hope for.

I work with individual men and women, couples, and families, helping them navigate difficult life circumstances and learn to connect with themselves and one another in healthy ways. My goal as a therapist is to help the people I work with move toward what is meaningful in life amidst a history of trauma and hardship.

  • Yvonne has experience using evidence-based approaches to support clients navigating trauma, substance and process addiction, anxiety, depression, adjustment and attachment disorders, and relationship and sexual addiction concerns.

    Her training includes:

    • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

    • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

    Yvonne is also open to counseling clients who are specifically seeking a Christian perspective and the integration of Biblical truths as a source of strength in addressing life's challenges. She is equally comfortable working with clients who hold different spiritual beliefs or no spiritual beliefs at all.

  • Yvonne earned her Master's Degree in Applied Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Washington University. She also attained a Master of Addiction Counseling (MAC) credential through NAADAC and is a Washington State-approved clinical supervisor.

    Yvonne is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
