FAQ Insurance & Payments

  • Aetna, Asuris, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna/Evernorth, First Choice, Kaiser PPO, Kaiser Core, Lifewise, Premera, Regence, Uniform Medical Plan (UMP)

    Providers at Cor Counseling & Wellness are independent business owners, so accepted insurance plans will vary by therapist. When you contact us to inquire about counseling, let us know your insurance provider, and we will connect you with a counselor who can bill that specific insurance plan.

    *At this time, there are no providers accepting clients with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, or Washington Apple Health plans.

  • Although we attempt to collect information regarding a client’s insurance benefits, we recommend you check with your insurance company to verify your responsibility for payment, including deductibles, copayments, or coinsurance. You can do this by calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and asking what you will need to pay for mental health counseling with an outpatient provider.

    *Payment for your counseling session is due at the time of service.

  • We do not provide services on a sliding scale. In some situations, a therapist may offer a reduced rate for cash payment for services.

  • We accept cash, checks, debit, credit cards, and HSA cards for payment. All payments are due at the time of services.

  • Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

    You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

    You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any time during treatment.

    If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

FAQ Services Questions

  • Some therapists have specific training to work with couples or families. Most of our therapists specialize in counseling for individuals; when appropriate, a therapist working with an individual may offer to provide sessions with family members or significant others in order to meet the individual’s treatment goals.

  • We do not provide assistance for obtaining an emotional support animal.

  • At this time, Clinicians with Cor Counseling & Wellness do not provide counseling sessions for court-ordered clients or reunification counseling services.

  • Cor Counseling & Wellness does not maintain a centralized medical records department and does not have access to individual client records.

    All of our therapists are independent business owners. This means they manage their own scheduling and securely store their client records separately.

    *If you need to request your records, please contact your individual therapist directly. They will be able to assist you with accessing your information.

Cor Counseling & Wellness is a collaborative network of independently practicing clinicians. Each provider is independently licensed and responsible for their own clinical services, documentation, and professional judgment. Providers are not employees, agents, or representatives of Cor Counseling & Wellness unless otherwise specified.
