Michael believes medication can be an effective part of mental health treatment and often works best when combined with therapy and other supports that address the whole person.

Treatment recommendations are individualized based on each client's symptoms, history, needs, and goals. When medication is appropriate, Michael works collaboratively with clients to develop a treatment plan and monitor its effectiveness over time.

Michael is a board-certified Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (Psych ARNP-BC). He earned his Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Washington University in 2008 and later completed an accelerated nursing program, earning his Master of Nursing with a specialty in psychiatry from Oregon Health & Science University in 2012.

Throughout his career, Michael has worked in community mental health settings in both Portland and Spokane. His experience includes caring for uninsured and underserved populations and collaborating with therapists, primary care providers, and specialists in the psychiatric treatment of individuals with complex medical and mental health needs.
