About Dr. Van Wey:
Dr. Van Wey is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in forensic psychological evaluation and evidence-based clinical practice. She provides objective, high-quality psychological assessments and psychotherapy, with particular expertise in trauma and complex psychological presentations.
Dr. Van Wey is frequently retained as a psychological expert to assess emotional damages, objective psychological functioning, and trauma-related conditions such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She also maintains a broad assessment practice, conducting specialized evaluations for medical populations, including pre-surgical transplant evaluations and other complex psychological evaluations.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Van Wey utilizes evidence-based approaches to treat complex trauma, stressor-related disorders, and work-related injuries (L&I).

A Note About General Psychological Testing:
Dr. Van Wey's assessment practice focuses on specialized forensic, medical, L&I, and professionally referred psychological evaluations. She does not provide general diagnostic testing or routine ADHD evaluations.

Dr. Van Wey earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University, an institution accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
She completed her APA-accredited clinical internship at the Veterans Affairs Salt Lake City Healthcare System, where she received specialized training in the assessment and treatment of PTSD, geriatric and adult neuropsychological assessment, and acute inpatient psychology.
Dr. Van Wey is a Licensed Psychologist in Washington State (PSYC.PY.00003323) and is authorized to practice interjurisdictional psychology through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT).

Disability Documentation & Workplace Fitness
Dr. Van Wey does not complete disability forms or determine workplace fitness for clinical patients. Requests for extended work leave or disability documentation should be directed to your referring provider, primary care provider, or occupational physician.
When appropriate, Dr. Van Wey can provide mental health treatment records to assist those providers in completing disability-related documentation.
